Artist Statement

I am a sculptor who works with natural materials in order to explore issues concerning our culture and its relationship with nature. I received an MFA in Photography and expanded my medium to sculpture 10 years ago. I have been a mentor since 1994, working with artists using all different art forms. I believe that process is more important than product, that art needs to come from deep within. Art making is a risky business and artists, especially emerging ones, need all the support they can get.
