WARM Call for Entries
 
What: Exhibitions of WARM members work
Where: the Minnesota Women’s Building, 550 Rice Street, St. Paul
Deadline for submissions:  Tuesday, March 1, 2011 (not a Postmark deadline)
 
WARM is accepting submissions for a series of exhibits of two-dimensional art at the Minnesota Women’s Building in St. Paul. Exhibitions will be of six weeks duration, with two or three artists participating in each show. Artists will be selected by the WARM Exhibitions Committee. Submitting artists must be WARM members and agree to a 30% commission from any sales going to WARM.
 
This is a large building with lots of interior spaces in halls, offices and conference rooms. Applicants should have 10-20 artworks minimum that are ready to show (framed, glazed or stretched canvas, wired with hangers).  
 
WARM assists with installation, provides postcard design, mailing labels of WARM members, exhibit labels and price lists and assistance with the opening reception.
Artists are responsible for printing cost, mailing of postcards (approximately $50 per 500 announcements), promoting their shows and food and supplies for opening reception.
 
Show dates will be:
April 18-May 27, 2011
June 6-July 15, 2011
July 25-September 2, 2011
September 12-October 21, 2011
October 31-December 9, 2011

Artists will be notified of acceptance the week of March 18.
 
To submit, please send:

*Your preferred show dates (Check your calendars carefully and list any times you are UNABLE to show between April and December of 2011).
*10 digital images on a disc (no slides)
(Save your images as TIF or JPG files. File size should be no larger than 800 pixels in either direction at 72 dpi. Images will be viewed by the committee on a computer screen. If you have questions about this, contact Rita Lundgren, .
