Women's Art Registry of Minnesota
2006 Mentor Protegee Show

WARM commits itself to building a strong presence and a prosperous future with and for women artists.

WARM's mission is to build networks and programming that create mentoring, educational, exhibition and professional development opportunities that reflect the diverse voices, visions and values of Minnesota women visual artists.

Welcome to WARM

The Women's Art Registry of Minnesota is located in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area in Minnesota. We are a women's art organization that serves midwest women artists through a variety of programming and publications. These include:

  • A Mentor Program that pairs emerging and professional women artists for two years and then exhibits the participants of the program at the end of the two year cycle.
  • Individual and group exhibition opportunities.
  • Networking opportunities through WARM Coffees, Fresh Art and Art Partners.
  • The WARM Online Registry which allows members to place and image and statement of their work along with a link to their web site.
  • A biweekly listserv, e-WARM-ups, lets members know about WARM happenings, local and national calls for art, professional development opportunities and local exhibitions.
  • A quarterly newsletter, WARM Re:Views, interviews women artists, introduces emerging artists and reviews ongoing opportunities for artists in the midwest region.

Fresh Art! is a monthly meeting presented by WARM for members (non-members are also welcome). Each meeting presents an art topic, followed by attendees sharing new work they have created. Some meetings are devoted to a hands-on art activity. In 2008, we have some exciting topics on the list! Mimi Holmes will complete her slide lectures on art by women.
